Beautiful Squash Blossom Silver Necklace with natural, highest grade, Gem Kingman Turquoise made by Lola Daw Yazzie.
Lola Daw is an important part of the legendary Yazzie family.. Do not be confused, Yazzie is a common Navajo name but this Yazzie family includes Raymond Yazzie, Lee Yazzie, Marie Lincoln Yazzie, Mary Marie Yazzie and Lola Daw Yazzie.
This Squash Blossom Necklace is among Lola Daw's most ambitious projects. The beads are all perfect and match each other exactly. The design is wonderful. Best of all it is wearable... comfortable and fashionable without being too large.
The Naja dated back to Ancient Rome. The Naja is a symbol of Good Luck, Creation and Prosperity.
I find the size and design of this Naja compliments a wearer's appearance, it is versatile and a beautiful addition to any wardrobe.
The turquoise is Gem Kingman. The gemstones are deep blue with lots of Brilliance. All The Gems are perfectly matched. Gem Kingman turquoise in this high grade is rare... beware of imitation Kingman Turquoise.
Each Oval Silver Bead measures 1/4" wide x 3/8" diameter.
The Necklace is two (beautifully constructed) silver bead strands.
The Naja itself is hand made using Hopi Tufa (Sand Stone) to Cast it with 4 matching, Kingman Turquoise gemstones added.
The necklace measures 26" long.
