Description

Al Joe, Navajo, is a well respected Southwest silversmith.

Al's jewelry is traditional.. yet modern in it's meticulous execution and his use of high grade gemstones, silver and gold.

This particular silver bracelet is a complex piece totally fabricated by hand by Al Joe, requiring many exacting steps to make.  It is a turquoise and coral stunner that is suitable to wear dressed to the 9's or out for a casual evening.

This bracelet is perfectly inlaid with Gem Pilot Mountain Turquoise and Coral. These are High Grade Gems from a mine long closed.

It measures 5/8" wide and the cuff has a 1" opening It will fit a 5 3/4" to a 6" wrist. The size can not be adjusted. To adjust the bracelet the gemstones must first be removed and refit after the silver alteration.

This is the only one. There will never be another like it.  The Pilot Mountain mine is long closed and the turquoise long gone.  There was never much to begin with.

The turquoise color is a soft  blue drifting to a mellow blue green. Turquoise like this, where you can look into the stone is most rare. That property is called Zat, brilliance... the color appears liquid and to eminate from deep inside the stone.  Zat is a name for that quality that goes back to ancient Persia. It is also called Gel, a modern term in the Southwest.

Best wishes, Wolf
