Sam LaFontain, Gem Lapis and Silver Bracelet

Sam LaFontain, at the time I discovered him, was relatively unknown. I found his work original and beautiful both in design and execution. But most of all, Sam's art is genuine and heartfelt.  He is an artist in every sense of the word.

This bracelet is New. The bracelet you see in the photos is the one you will receive.  There is only one like this. 

This bracelet and a few other LaFontain pieces went lost during a website  migration some time ago. It's been found and I'm republishing,

This beautiful bracelet features a large Deep Purple, Lapis Gem.
The Gem's color shifts from light purple to dark depending upon the direction light hits it.

 The bracelet itself is made of Argentium which is 100% Silver.  Argentium silver does not tarnish.  When polished, Argentium Silver has a bright finish that looks more like Platinum than  the silver we are used to seeing and handling. That silver is 90% Silver mixed with 10% Copper.

The bracelet was designed and entirely handmade by Sam LaFontaine. It is new and was made Circa 2000.  It was stored all these years in our Company Vault. 

High Grade, Deep Purple Lapis like this is a rarity. Especially stones this large. The color here is deep purple, the Lapis is very hard and it appears liquid (all most desirable qualities). 

Color, Hardness and Reflecting (refracting) light are exactly the qualities that separate great gems from the rest. Such Gems are highly valued and like similar rarities from Mother Earth, they are hard to come by and rise in value with Inflation.

Especially when the gem is turned into handmade, beautiful, wearable art.  Condition is important.. keep it beautiful... use the soft cloth we send you to polish it. Easy does it with a light touch.

The lapis gemstone is quite tall and rises well above the setting.

The bracelet is very well made and was perfectly hand stamped one Star at a time.

It will fit a 6" to a 6 1/4" wrist - It can not be resized
