Lynn Quam Picasso Marble Buffalo
It was made Circa 2008. It has been kept in a vault since I received it from Lynn.
Lynn Quam is a Master Zuni Carver. Consider this a Lynn Quam masterpiece.
The Buffalo is scared ... a creation figure... a kokopelli by day... a buffalo by night
This buffalo is made from Picasso Marble... a rare stone with patterns that bring to mind a forest at night.
The blue heartline you see is turquoise petite point inlay. The buffalo's horns are also made from turquoise. The Sunface is Mother of Pearl, Coral, Turquoise and Jet.
Notice the gentle bends in the stone and the Buffalo's lifelike posture
It measures 5 1/2" long x 3 1/2" tall
This is a large carving and will almost cover an outstretched hand.
It is one of a kind.
