Jonathan Natewa is Zuni, the cousin of Staley Narewa.
Dragonfly Kachina
The Dragonfly is a Messenger.
I know of no one that worked in this style. Beautiful carvings with very precise incised designs.
The stone itself is Jet Black Onyx
It measures about 4 1/4" tall.
It is a well proportioned carving, freestanding.
I can barely wrap my hand around it.
Fine line ancient designs throughout the carving with gem turquoise inlay.
