Description
Gem Coral and Indian Mountain Turquoise in a Silver Bracelet... handmade by Victoria Benally, Navajo... Stunning by any standard and bargain priced. Coral is more expensive than most Turquoise.
The finished bracelet, as you see it now, required the Coral Branches be individually shaped (ground down) to fit alongside each other in the silver shadowbox.
In the design are 5 Spider Web "Indian Mountain" Turquoise Gems inlaid in the Coral.
Worth noting, Coral when first from the sea is full of worm holes and other natural distractions on the coral's surface. The coral as you see it in this bracelet, is totally free of ugly distractions. Not an easy job, especially when each coral piece must be polished to very specific dimensions.
Consider too, 1/2 to 2/3 of the Coral will be polished away into dust to extract that perfect red color and needed shape.
The Coral sold to the silversmith is as is. Imperfections, cracks and all are included in the silversmith's purchase price and factored into the sale price.
The amount of Coral that is ground away makes this bracelet impossible to duplicate today. High grade coral is not available and the cost if found prohibitive for a project where so much material is guaranteed to be lost.
There is not another nor likely to be one made.
The bracelet is 3/4" wide
It will fit a 6 3/4" to a 7" wrist.
The bracelet's size canNot be adjusted. However, it can be made to fit a wrist that is slightly small for the bracelet... without altering the bracelet (or your wrist). 800 462 8536
