Tufa is a sandstone found on the Hopi Reservation. Gerald is a master at tufa casting intricate jewelry.
The Owl Kachina is a Night Hunter. He is also a Messenger and and protector of the home. Many people keep an owl fetish carving in their home to ward off evil. The Owl Kachina is rarely seen in carvings and even rarer in a Bolo Tie.
