Francis Leekya was the son of Leekya Deyuse, who many consider the father of modern Native American Indian Arts and Crafts. Leekya, working with CG Wallace and other top Zuni, Navajo and Hopi silversmiths changed the face of Indian art and jewelry forever.
This horse carving is made from Lime Green Crystal stone, probably Serpentine. It is a large carving that qwill more than fill your hand.
It measures 4 3/4" from nose to tail.
It stands 2 1/4" tall.
