Delvin Leekya is the Grandson of Leekya Deuuse... and the son of Francis Leeyka... all three men are considered among the finest carvers in modern Zuni History. You can see the Leekya family carving style in their work. Yet each is a master carver with their own hand work.
The is Rarest Gem Malachite Azurite from Jerome, Arizona... mined b Tom Allan, Hidden Valley. Tom is gone now. I never saw a stone like this before or after I met Tom.
The Bear is a subtle blend of light greens and blues. Images abound in the Matrix.
It is a large Bear. Most people would want to use 2 hands to hold it.
It measures 5 1/2" long and is 3" tall and is 1 1/2" wide. It is a strong, well proportioned Zuni Medicine Bear.
