Description
Albert Lee and Sons Navajo Jewelry Rare Coral Bracelet
This was made using very heavy gauge silver. It is an early, traditional Navajo design. Like all Lee jewelry, this bracelet was completely hand made by the Lee's... including all silver work and lapidary. It was made to extremely high standards. The Lee's are award winning silversmiths.
Coral branches this large were always scarce and expensive. Today they are simply no longer available. Coral reefs are fragile ecosystems that are vulnerable to changes in ocean temperature, overfishing and pollution. Their populations are rapidly declining. Many respected researchers suggest that in 25 to 50 years all Coral will be extinct.
The design of this bracelet can be traced back to the late 1800's / early 1900's when silver wire was fabricated to form the bracelet itself. Of course, the Lee's have refined their art and the early vintage jewelry that had a rough, rustic feeling is now made by the Lee family to an entirely different aesthetic... elegant and perfect.
The bracelet is 1" wide
It will fit a 6 1/2" wrist
